One of the more exciting artists to emerge from Atlanta as of late, Scotty gives us an endearing video with “Payday,” and no, that isn’t Scotty rolling around the ATL. Calling on Cory, he shines some light on his biggest fan. As if Cory’s payday could be any better, he gets to be the focus of his favorite rapper’s music video, which probably leaves more than a few video vixens jealous. Of course, the only way that the story could be any better is if this were actually filmed on payday, which is not confirmed.

In all seriousness, though, part of what makes Scotty ATL’s music so engaging is his equal balance of genuineness and relatability of content. Who doesn’t look forward to their hard-earned check come every two weeks? And what other rappers seek out their biggest supporters for the role of their life. Rhetorical questions aside, The Jiffy Cornbread Experience is still available to download here, and it’s pretty hoodrich.
