“Splice is the future of music production and we giving y’all the tricks of the trade on how to get down and make these platinum records,” he says via Splice. “You get the Zay Splice kit, it’s almost like you’re collaborating with or featuring Zaytoven! I don’t want the producers to be scared to add their own flavor and make it something brand new, but you will always have that touch of Zaytoven in it when you use my kit. I’m giving back to all the producers, all the inspired producers, that are trying to come up and do their thing. Give ‘em that real street, that real trap! I’m giving up the game… so there it is.”

The Game – “True Colors/Its On”

1992

I love the artwork, really captured the times vividly. It trips me out that so many people romanticize this era and hold on to it for dear life. Game samples some old school Ice T, and does a pretty good job at dispelling myths while paying homage all at once.  I hate that he might be using beef to push his current body of work, but that has yet to be seen.

ADG – Talkin N Codes [VIDEO]

The breakout artist, ADG from Newark New Jersey, drops his much anticipated video for “Talkin N Codes”. The visuals and song concept play hand and hand with each other very well. ADG comes through with an extremely hard track, with each line laced and ‘coded’ with bars that’ll make you think. He discusses how street life isn’t so clear and cut, and also how life in general isn’t so obvious and can be very coded. The video is directed by @DoloFilmz . Follow along as ADG codes everything the streets have to offer. Also be on the look out for his anticipated mixtape “Rare Form” later this month.
